Best natural soap ever

I've often tried to use natural soap bars only to be disappointed quickly with the drying feeling it leaves in my hands. Until I discovered this soap! I absolutely love it – it smells good, it feels good, plus it actually does remove all of the dirt from my hands when out gardening.

Gardeners soap

Great soap, lathers up well and cleans dirt & muck from my hands easily. I find it doesn’t dry my skin out either.

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients are used in this gardeners soap?

Our Natural Gardener’s Soap is proudly made with natural, recycled ingredients that help reduce waste. It contains beef and sheep tallow, repurposed vegetable oil, spent coffee grounds, lye (sodium hydroxide), benzoin Sumatra (a natural tree sap), coffee essential oil, and rosemary CO₂ extract. Every ingredient has a purpose—whether it’s to clean, exfoliate, nourish or protect your skin. Best of all, it doesn’t contain any palm oil, parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, synthetic detergents or microplastics.

Does this soap smell like animal fat?

No – while it is made with tallow (rendered animal fat), it doesn’t have a fatty smell. Thanks to the addition of natural coffee essential oil, rosemary extract, and the curing process, the soap has a neutral, earthy aroma that’s barely noticeable once your hands are rinsed. It’s a clean-smelling product that won’t leave any lingering scent, perfect for those sensitive to strong fragrances.

Is this soap safe for sensitive skin and frequent use?

Yes! The Natural Gardener's Soap is free from harsh detergents and synthetic additives that can irritate skin. The natural fats in the tallow contain collagen and vitamins that help soften and soothe skin after a day in the garden. While it’s tough on dirt, it’s gentle enough for daily use, even if you’re washing your hands multiple times. It’s also safe for use with septic systems and won’t harm waterways or soil if used outdoors.

How does the soap exfoliate and clean dirt from hands?

The secret is in the spent coffee grounds! This soap gently exfoliates by using these fine, natural particles to lift garden grime and dirt without being harsh or scratchy. Combined with the cleansing action of the oils and tallow, it effectively washes away soil, plant sap, and other residues from gardening. It’s designed to leave your skin feeling clean, refreshed, and nourished—no need for extra scrubbing.

Where is this gardener’s soap made?

This soap is handmade by Delizia Naturally in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, using a traditional Italian soap-making method passed down through generations. It’s the result of a collaboration between Food2Soil and Delizia Naturally—two female-founded, Australian businesses passionate about reducing waste and creating natural, ethical products.

How long will a bar of Natural Gardener’s Soap last?

This is a solid, chunky bar at 150 grams, so it’s built to last! You'll find it won't 'dissolve' like some soaps.

Does this product qualify for free shipping?

Yes! When you purchase this Natural Gardener’s Soap online alongside any Food2Soil biofertiliser, you’ll receive free shipping Australia-wide. It’s a great opportunity to stock up on sustainable garden essentials.
